Man Lies About Identification During Drunk Driving Arrest

Here's an item from the Village of Lisle Police Department blotter on Sept. 14.

A Lisle man attempted to provide with false identification information during a recent traffic stop.

Armando Martinez-Guadalupe, 27, of the 1600 block of Ogden Avenue, was charged with driving under the influence following the traffic stop on the same block at 9:15 p.m. on Aug. 31.

According to reports, Martinez-Guadalupe committed numerous traffic violations when stopped. Police questioned him about his alcohol intake after smelling it on his person.

In addition to DUI, he is charged with driving while license suspended, obstructing identification, as well as an outstanding warrant with the DuPage County Sheriff's Office for failure to appear. Martinez-Guadalup was unable to post bail and was transported to the DuPage County Jail.
