Lisle Traffic Enforcement Nets More Than 30 Citations

According to the Illinois Vehicle Code, each driver and front seat passenger of a motor vehicle operated on a street or highway in Illinois should wear a properly fastened safety belt.

The Lisle Police Department recently participated in the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Thanksgiving “Click it or Ticket” seatbelt enforcement/awareness campaign.

During the operation, held from Nov. 13 through Nov. 16, 34 citations were issued, with 28 citations issued for failure to wear a safety belt when required.
