Lisle Police Issue More Than 70 Seatbelt Citations With "Click It or Ticket" Efforts

Lisle Police conducted seat belt enforcement checks during the second half of May.

 

The recently wrapped up their participation in the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Memorial Day “Click it or Ticket” seat belt enforcement/awareness campaign.

Lisle police conducted six enforcement checks between May 14 and May 25. Officers issued 78 citations, 71 of which were issued for failure to wear a safety belt when required, according to a release from the department. Illinois Vehicle Code requires each driver and front seat passenger shall wear a properly fastened safety belt.
