Lisle Police Begin Another DUI, Seatbelt Crackdown Campaign

The enforcement period starts Aug. 16 and continues through Labor Day. Buckle up and drive sober!

From August 16 through Labor Day, the Lisle Police Department will be out in force as part of the annual Illinois “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” crackdown on drunk drivers. The statewide crackdown will include high-visibility alcohol and seat belt enforcement throughout Lisle, and will run from August 16 through September 2, 2013.

The effective statewide crackdown will also be supported by national and state paid advertising, creating a comprehensive campaign to curb drunk driving.

The Lisle Police Department said its officers will be aggressively looking for drunk drivers during the crackdown and will arrest anyone caught driving drunk. In addition, seat belt law violators will be ticketed. Although 0.08 BAC is the illegal limit in all 50 States, far too many people across the nation get behind the wheel after consuming too much alcohol.
