UPDATED: Lisle Man Pleads Not Guilty to Reckless Homicide Following Dec. 23 Crash

A Lisle man is charged with the reckless homicide of a 25-year-old Grayslake woman after a late December crash in Waukegan.

A Lisle man was recently charged with driving under the influence after using a car to break into a Target store, and allegedly causing a fatal crash after the theft. According to the Lake County News-Sun, Donald Mischke, 54, is listed in fair condition at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.

Additional charges are still pending against the Lisle man who allegedly broke into a Target store in late December and caused a fatal crash during his getaway. A representative with Advocate Condell Medical Center said Donald Mischke, 54, is listed in good condition.

"He’s still in the hospital and we’re waiting for him to be released," said Waukegan Police Lt. Edward Fitzgerald.

According to the Daily Herald, Mischke was released from Advocate Condell Medical Center and has been officially charged with reckless homicide, aggravated driving under the influence and aggravated fleeing and eluding. According to the Daily Herald, Mischke pleaded not guilty in Lake County Court to first degree murder charges. According to the article, he is being held on $500,000 bond, with a trial set for May 31.
