DuPage Co. Sex Offender Sentenced on Child Porn Charges

Prosecutors said Scott Bauldin of Bloomingdale was caught looking at child pornography at a public library.

A 59-year-old registered sex offender in DuPage County has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for possessing images and videos containing child pornography.

Scott Baudin, of Lakeview Drive in Bloomingdale, entered a blind plea of guilty to one count of Possession of Child Pornography, a Class 1 Felony, on Jan. 9 and was sentenced Monday in a DuPage County courtroom, according to a DuPage County State's Attorney's Office press release.

Prosecutors said Baudin went to the Bloomingdale Public Library on April 18, 2013, and around 10:30 a.m., an employee of the library noticed what appeared to be child pornography on the computer terminal that Baudin was using.
