Police say two men robbed West Suburban Bank just before 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Police investigate after two men robbed West Suburban Bank on West Street in downtown Wheaton just before 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Police said two men went into the bank, and jumped over the counter demanding money. The men implied they were armed, police said. They were given a bag of money and ran out of the building. Police believe they traveled east.

The men had their faces covered, and no description was available, police said.

Police also said that the bag of money contained an ink dye for tracking.

No one was harmed in the robbery, police said.

I wonder if they stopped all inbound METRA trains? Especially the one that arrives at the downtown depot from Elburn at 5:54 pm.
