Intoxicated Man Asleep in Car Near I-355, Other DUI Arrests

These items are from the Village of Lisle Police Department blotter on May 7.

 

  • Karen L. McKinney, 49, of Glen Ellyn, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence on May 5 at approximately 2:40 a.m. at the intersection of Warrenville Road and Yackley Avenue.
    McKinney was pulled over by a Lisle police officer following a speeding violation. She was placed under arrest after failing field sobriety tests, according to reports. She was processed and transported to the DuPage County Jail.
    McKinney's driver's license is currently suspended for a driving under the influence conviction, according to reports.

 

  • said Dale Joseph Hanson, 28, of the 4700 block of St. Joseph Creek Road, was arrested at 1:09 a.m. near West Van Buren Avenue and South Main Street in Naperville. He was charged with violating the lights and lamps act, disobeying a stop sign, operating a vehicle without insurance and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was $3,000.

  • Luis O. Rivera-Torres, 26, of the 4300 block of Nutmeg Lane, was charged with driving under the influence on May 6 at approximately 2:34 a.m. on the 2200 block of Warrenville Road. After pulling Rivera-Torres over for a speeding violation, an officer administered field sobriety tests. He was processed at the Lisle Police Department and released on bond.

 

  • Joshua D. Guziec, 25, of Downers Grove, was charged with driving under the influence on May 6 at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Ogden Avenue near I-355. Officers were called to perform a well-being check on a driver slumped over his steering wheel on the roadway, according to reports.
    A responding officer allegedly found the vehicle still in "drive" position though Guziec was not conscious. The officer attempted to administer field sobriety tests after waking Guziec.
    Guziec refused to complete all field sobriety tests, according to reports, and was transported to the Lisle Police Department for processing. He was released on bond.
