LA GRANGE, March 18—A woman living in the 400 block of Ashland Avenue reported seeing a man and woman on a porch possibly engaging in indecent activity in public at about 1:48 a.m. The two ran west on Goodman Avenue and a police officer found a 20-year-old man at 47th Street and Ashland and brought him home to Western Springs.

HINSDALE, March 9—Thirty used motor vehicle tires were found dumped in the parking lot of Firestone Tire, 150 E. Ogden Ave. It is believed the illegal dumping occurred between 7:30 p.m. March 9 and 6:30 a.m. March 11. There are no suspects. The disposal fee for the used tires is $90.

LA GRANGE, March 12—La Grange police are trying to contact a Hodgkins woman whose wallet containing $638 and credit cards was found outside a restaurant in the 100 block of west Burlington Avenue at about 1:14 p.m.

LA GRANGE, March 11—A wallet found lying in the street at 47th Street and LaGrange Road at about 10:16 a.m. was returned to its owner, an Indian Head Park man.

Hurting the Homeless

WHEATON, Feb. 24—Someone stole $3,120 in gift cards that DuPage PADS collected in December. According to a police report, a PADS employee reported the missing gift cards. Approximately $5,000 in gift cards were collected in the drive, and were left in an unsecured drawer in the PADS office—which did not appear to have been disturbed or ransacked, police said.
