2 Plead Guilty in Lisle Robbery

The 17-year-old and 18-year-old face sentencing in September.

A Lisle woman and a Chicago teen will be sentenced next month after pleading guilty to robbing someone in Lisle this summer, according to court records.

Deanna K. Nolan, 18, of the 2000 block of Ogden Avenue, Lisle, and Deshun Owens, 17, of the 600 block of East 133rd Street, Chicago, entered their guilty pleas on Aug. 13 and 19, respectively. Owens will be sentenced Sept. 6 and Nolan will be sentenced Sept. 9.

Nolan and Owens were charged with robbery after they first asked to borrow a male's $100 cell phone, then took it for themselves, according to Lisle police. The incident occurred at 10 p.m. July 1 near Lisle Community Park on the 1800 block of Short Street.

A Lisle police sergeant was responding to the scene and saw Nolan walking on Yackley Avenue toward Ogden Avenue after the incident, Sgt. Ron Wilke said.

"He took her into custody and confirmed she was one of the suspects," Wilke said in an e-mail. "She lives (on the 2000 block of) Ogden Avenue and related that Owens was at her house so they picked him up."
