Santa and Mrs. Claus invite area children to join them for breakfast

"Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus" is for children of all ages from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15 in the Main Dining Room of the Krasa Student Center.

The earlier than usual start to the busy holiday shopping season means more work for Santa and Mrs. Claus. But the North Pole’s favorite couple are taking a break from their hectic holiday preparations to enjoy breakfast with area children at Benedictine University.

Benedictine University’s Student Senate is sponsoring “Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus” for children of all ages from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 15 in the Main Dining Room of the Krasa Student Center.

The event features breakfast with an all-you-can-eat buffet of pancakes and sausages. Each child can have their picture taken with Santa and will receive a special gift. Mrs. Claus will read her favorite Christmas story, and Ernie the Elf will be on hand to help children make holiday decorations in the special arts and crafts area. There will also be holiday movies, children’s games, prizes and a raffle.
