Herald reports today that poverty/low-income rate at Lisle School District 202 increased from 8.7% in 2000, to 26.1% in 2012,a 300% increase in a 12 year period.
The average State poverty rate of school children increased 36%.
Poverty/low-income rates at Naperville School District 203, where some Lisle children attend school, increased to 11.1% in 2012 from 1.2% in 2000.
