NO POLICY
The Library does NOT have any Board adopted and approved policy allowing, prohibiting, or restricting the use of public funds for food for staff meetings, parties, flowers, local meals.... Why not? Perhaps because its so obviously wrong a policy is not necessary?
The Library does NOT have any Board adopted and approved policy for use of public fund for employee recognition - this includes purchase of gift cards for employees and elected officials. Why is there no policy?
Why are elected officials and government employees accepting gifts purchased with public funds?
Why is it necessary to purchase breakfast, lunch or food/snacks for seemingly every staff meeting?
It appears our Library Board of Trustees has been "Out to Lunch" and not doing their jobs to demand fiscal responsibility and to eliminate wasteful spending of public funds at the Lisle Library.

Read for yourself the response to my FOIA for copies of public records for:
Copies of ALL payment records for purchases of food for staff meetings, staff parties and staff social events, gifts, gift cards, employee recognition, employee bonuses, and gifts for elected officials.
We are even buying gifts for staff at other libraries!
Paying for Illegal gifts to vendors, personal flowers and holiday parties!

Library says that they have "no record" of any $175.00 in free bonus gift cards from this purchase (free $25 bonus gift card with each $100 purchase.)
