Heroes wanted!
With this year's theme "Be a Hero for Hope," participants are reminded that through their support and fundraising efforts, they are helping individuals affected by domestic violence move toward safer futures.  Feel free to come dressed as your favorite hero or superhero!  The 10K/5K Run-Walk will feature cash awards, medals, food and music, as well as stories of triumph and victory from those who have overcome the devastating consequences of domestic violence.  Form a team and increase your impact!

Great fun for the kids, too, including a Kids' Fitness Challenge where each participant receives a pumpkin to decorate.  And with Halloween right around the corner, kids can come dressed as their favorite hero or superhero, too!  Prizes for best costumes.

Your support will help ensure that Family Shelter Service can continue to offer service to those in need.  With shelter, counseling, advocacy and support programs, our clients can triumph and become the true heroes.  To register, please visit www.familyshelterservice.org.  For more information about participation, fundraising or sponsorship, please call Karen at 630-221-8290 x7110.
