Contempo Dance Academy's "Nutcracker Sweets"

Contempo Dance Academy will present its annual holiday production of "Nutcracker Sweets" at Trinity's Grounds for Hope Auditorium on December 14th at 6:30 p.m. and December 15th at 11:00 a.m.

"Nutcracker Sweets" is an all-student dance performance based on the characters in the traditional Nutcracker ballet, but adds a modern twist. "Sweets" blends classical ballet with hip-hop, jazz, and lyrical pieces to tell an original holiday story that is ideal for all ages. The production runs about one hour in length and features original choreography by Contempo director, Kim Kovacevich, who has also taught at Chicago's Academy of Dance--Official School of the Joffrey Ballet, and other Contempo faculty members.

Tickets for "Nutcracker Sweets" are $8 for adults and $5 for children if purchased in advance. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door for $10 each.
