Benedictine open house showcases new Fr. Michael E. Komechak, O.S.B., Art Gallery

Lisle, Illinois ~ Benedictine University cordially invites the public to attend a special viewing of the new Fr. Michael E. Komechak, O.S.B., Art Gallery from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12 on the fifth floor of the Kindlon Hall of Learning.

Named in honor of the late Fr. Michael, a well-known and beloved figure in local art circles who passed away in 2009, the gallery features a selection of paintings, sculpture, photography and ceramics from locally, regionally and internationally recognized artists.

Several other exhibits will also be displayed during the open house. “Parallels,” a collection of paintings by the artist Eulalio Bueno Silva Jr., will be exhibited in the atrium on the second floor of Kindlon Hall. “Dual Landscapes” a collection of photographs by Glenn Hansen, Stephen Parker and Susana Veloz, and “The Streets of San Salvador,” a collection of student photographs, will be shown on the first floor of Kindlon Hall.
