Week In Review: DuPage and Kane County Court Cases

An Elmhurst woman accused of drugging her son in what might have been an attempted murder-suicide, is due at a hearing this week.

DUPAGE:
Darien:
- Jacob Nodarse returns to court July 21 for another status hearing in the Darien triple murder. His last appearance stagnated on records and evaluations, but eventually the idea of splitting his trial from Johnny Borizov's is likely to come up.

Downers Grove:
- Theresa Carlquist has a July 20 hearing set in her theft case involving the youth football program.

Elmhurst:
- Cheryl Luchetta, accused of drugging her son in what might have been an attempted murder-suicide, is scheduled for a July 18 hearing where it likely prosecutors will ask the judge to order Luchetta to undergo a psychological exam.
- Bryan Connell (the son), one of three men from same family charged in altercation at bar on St. Patrick's Day, is scheduled for a status hearing on July 19. His father and brother, who were also charged, are due in court next month.

Hinsdale/Clarendon Hills:
- Daniel Ryan, former Clarendon Hills police officer accused of stealing guns, returns to court for a status hearing on July 20. He pleaded not guilty during his last appearance.

KANE:
Batavia:

- The three men accused of damaging downtown statue - Thomas and Theodore Bittner, and Steve Piron - are scheduled for status hearing on July 19.

Geneva:
- With the judge issue settled in Coroner Chuck West's case, he is set to return to court on July 21 for a hearing where they will likely schedule another court date for arguments on Chuck's attempt to have official misconduct statute deemed unconstitutional and his case thrown out.


St. Charles:
James Cooper (charged with aggravated battery to a child) returns to court for status hearing on July 22.
