Week In Review: DuPage and Kane County Court Cases

A July DUI case and a suit against Benedictine check in for status hearings this week.

DUPAGE:
Darien:
- returns to court again on Aug. 24 for a possible move to sever his triple murder trial from co-defendent Johnny Borizov. 

Elmhurst:
, who was found not guilty of attempted murder by reason of insanity, returns to court Aug. 23 for an update on a Department of Human Services report on treatment options for Clanton. Clanton was accused of cutting her grandson's face with a knife after slamming his head into the kitchen sink around 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 11. 

Lisle:
- , accused of aggravated DUI in the death of pedestrian, is scheduled for a hearing on Aug 22
A status hearing is set for Aug. 23 in the lawsuit against Benedictine by the father of a former student who apartment. 

Naperville:
- Two of the suspects in a recent —Clarence Guyton and Robert Jackson—are scheduled for status hearings on Aug. 22
- , accused of attempted child abduction, is scheduled for a hearing on Aug. 22. This is his first formal appearance after his recent arrest. 

Wheaton:
- Cold-case murder suspect is scheduled for an Aug. 22 hearing, for what could possibly be an arraignment. 

Woodridge:
- First formal appearance scheduled for murder suspect Yashesh Desai on Aug. 22. Desai allegedly murdered his father with a weed trimmer. 

KANE:
Batavia:
- Three men accused of damaging a downtown statue are scheduled for status hearings on 

Geneva:
- Attorneys in 's official misconduct case are set to argue whether the law is unconstitutional during a hearing set for Aug. 22.
