UPDATED: Pedestrian Killed at Naperville Metra Station

The Daily Herald reported a pedestrian was struck by a train at the Naperville station around 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Around 8 p.m. Wednesday evening we re-Tweeted a message that two outbound Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Metra trains were stopped at the Naperville Metra station. An alert on the Metra homepage stated the delay was due to a "pedestrian incident." A Twitter user, however, stated that a later train was stopped at the Lisle Metra station because someone was apparently hit by a train.

According to the Daily Herald, an unknown male reportedly walked in front of an eastbound train around 7:10 p.m. Trains were detained at the station until 9 p.m.
