OK, So You're No Evan Lysacek or Kristi Yamaguchi

Escape to a skating rink high in the sky.

Leave your troubles on the ground floor, and head to the skating rink on the 94th
floor of one of Chicago’s legendary landmarks.

You will feel like you are skating in the sky atop the John Hancock, 875 N. Michigan Ave. But you will have to go soon. The rink closes March 31.

The rink, 900 square feet in size and constructed of a state-of-the-art synthetic substance, is more than 1,000 feet above The Magnificent Mile, and overlooks sky-high views of the city’s lakefront skyline and Lake Shore Drive.

The Hancock Observatory rents skates at the rink and offers private skating parties.

You can turn your trip into a skate-cation. The Hancock has partnered with a range of Chicago hotels so that you can plan your own staycation. Check out an extra special transport add-on, so you can see the city from a Chicago Trolley. And if you do plan a skate-cation, check out deals that will make your trip even more enjoyable.
