UPDATED: Motorcyclist Dead After Halloween Crash

Salvatore J. Cacciato, of Lisle, was pronounced deceased following an accident with another motor vehicle attempting to leave the BenU parking lot.

Lisle Police Department Watch Cmdr. Randall Johnson said officers are still investigating the Oct. 31 crash, and no new information is available. To his knowledge, no charges have been filed.

Lisle Police have yet to release any more information related to last week's fatal crash involving a motorcyclist and a car on College Road.

The driver of the vehicle was likely a Benedictine student, according to a report from The Candor, the college's student newspaper. An eyewitness said Cacciato was not wearing a helmet.

A memorial service for Cacciato, a 'Harley-Davidson enthusiast,' will take place on Nov. 18 at in Glen Ellyn, according to his obituary.

A motorcyclist is dead after an accident with another motor vehicle near on Monday night. 

Lisle resident Salvatore J. Cacciato, 64, was travelling southbound on College Road at approximately 9:18 p.m. when he collided with a motorist attempting to leave one of the university's parking lots. 

Both drivers were transported to in Naperville, where Cacciato was pronounced dead, according to police reports. Details on the motorist's identity has not been released, but Watch Commander Randall Johnson said the motorist was discharged with minor injuries.
