Personality: Max is a sweet, gentle cat who loves attention. He has feline immunodeficiency virus, but the West Suburban Humane Society said he is still expected to live a long, happy life. Because of his illness, however, he needs to be in a home either without other cats or with cats who already have FIV. He doesn't require any special medications, nor does he have any symptoms, but he needs to avoid places where he could pick up an infection. He has lots of love to give an owner who will love him back.

Fee: Max's adoption fee is $125, which covers a microchip, collar with ID tag, FVRCP vaccine, deworming, flea preventative, ear-mite check and treatment (if necessary), and a temporary cat carrier.
