Main Street Pet Groomer Celebrates Fifth Anniversary

A small parking lot event with animal adoptions and gifts marked the fifth anniversary of Lisle's Hand N Paw grooming service.

grooming service celebrated their fifth anniversary over the weekend with an adoption event, giveaways, a raffle of dog goodies and $5 self wash and nail trims.

Tony LaRussa's Animal Rescue Foundation and the West Suburban Humane Society set up shop with Hand N Paw from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., gathering interest in foster homes or serving as a volunteer.

Local businesses , , and the contributed gift certificates for raffle prizes that appeal to pet owners. Free goodie bags and cookies were available for dogs and their people, along with toys and t-shirts for sale.

"This is the first time we've done something like this," said owner Beth Hand. "We figured why don't we do something fun instead of working all day; we'll help the human society and get to meet new people."

Hand 'N' Paw is a full service pet groomer providing everything from self wash stations to spa treatments for the pampered puppy.
