Flash Flooding Warning Issued

The National Weather Service's Doppler radar is indicating slow-moving thunderstorms with heavy rainfuall across DuPage County, includng Lisle. The warning is in effect until 2 a.m.

There are reports of several inches of water accumulating on Route 34 in Naperville. 

The campus of Benedictine University may be affected, according to the weather service.

Shortly before 8 p.m., Doppler radar estimated between 1 and 2 inches of rain had fallen in the past hour. An additional 1 to 2 inches is expected until the rain lightens up later tonight.

Motorists are advised not to drive through high water, but to turn around and find another route.
