The companies provide information technology and operations consulting for pharmaceutical companies.

According to a press release from SXC, "The combined company expects to achieve approximately $125 million of annual cost savings over the first 18 to 24 months after closing through improved scale and operating leverage."
The transaction is expected to close during the second half of this year, subject to shareholder and U.S. antitrust approval.
