Written by Cristel Mohrman

Mariano's Fresh Market will purchase 11 Dominick's stores in the Chicago suburbs, according to Crain's Chicago Business.

The $36 million deal includes Dominick's locations in Aurora, Western Springs, Westchester and Park Ridge, according to the Daily Herald. All of the stores will be converted into Mariano's, which is owned by Roundy's, Inc., according to the Daily Herald.
The news comes as Dominick's prepares to close all 72 of its Chicago market stores. The stores, which includes the Dominick's at 91 Danada Square E in Wheaton, are scheduled to close by Dec. 28.

New Albertson's, the parent company of Jewel-Osco, has purchased four other stores in the Chicago suburbs.
