ClaySpace Ceramic Arts Center Opening in Lisle

The non-profit art studio is relocating from Warrenville and will be holding a three-day grand opening the weekend of Oct. 4-6.

ClaySpace Ceramic Arts Center will host a Grand Opening to celebrate its recent move from Warrenville to 740 Front Street in Lisle during the weekend of October 4th – 6th.

The celebration begins on Friday, October 4th from 6:00 p.m. to 9 p.m.,highlighted by a ribbon cutting ceremony with Lisle Mayor Joe Broda at 7:00 p.m. Other activities include tours of the studio, opportunity to purchase raffle tickets (tickets $1.00 each), and art created by the resident artists will be for sale.

Saturday’s activities, 10:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m., include tours of the studio, hands-on activities for adults and children (small fee charged), an art raffle (tickets $1.00 each), ceramic demonstrations, and art created by the resident artists will be for sale.

The fun continues on Sunday, 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., with tours of the studio, ceramic demonstrations, and art will be for sale. All events are open to the public and refreshments will be served.

ClaySpace NFP, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, began in 2005, with a group of 20 ceramic artists and teachers. The community has grown to nearly 50 resident artists from all over the Western Suburbs. In 2008, classes in fused glass were added.

Its mission is to develop, sustain and promote a nonprofit art-centered community that provides outstanding educational, artistic and collaborative programs in the ceramic arts to its Resident Artists and to the general public.
