How did the business come to be?

I have a passion for real estate and for helping people. I started out as a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker in downtown Naperville, Illinois in 2003. I subsequently obtained my brokers license and in 2006 started my own real estate business.

Why did you choose the area you did?

Although I have spent 30 years in contract management in corporate America, I have always enjoyed the real estate industry and in fact took my first real estate class while in college in the late 1970's. I believe that helping people is very important and very rewarding personally. I still remember buying my first home in 1977 and all the questions and concerns of buying a home. The industry and the real estate market are constantly changing and buyers and sellers need a professional that they can trust and rely on to give them the right answers. I have lived in the Naperville / Lisle area for over 25 years and have seen a lot of changes. I know that I can help and want to be your trusted real estate professional.

What does your business offer?

Kauffman Real Estate is a professional, locally owned, full service Real Estate Brokerage Company serving the needs of real estate buyers, sellers and investors throughout the Chicago Metropolitan area. With over ten years of professional real estate experience, chances are we have provided professional real estate services too many of your neighbors. I offer a full range of professional real estate services including but not limited to providing buyers and sellers the same access and benefit of the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) as my larger competitors. The true difference is the professional and the personal touch.

What’s a fact about your business that most customers probably don’t know?

I have lived in the area for over 25 years. My sons both attended local schools. My youngest son was in the first graduating class of Neuqua High School. My oldest son received his undergraduate and MBA degrees from North Central College in Naperville. My wife is a retired school teacher from Ranchview Elementary. I have seen good times and bad times in the real estate industry over the years and while other real estate agents have come and gone and companies downsized and closed their doors, I have weathered the storm. I have been here for the community and I plan on growing. I have no plans of retirement or closing my doors. Kauffman Real Estate is dedicated to making your real estate dreams come true. I am a Viet Nam veteran and provide discounts for veterans, teachers & first time home buyers.
