Ronnie Dunn to Replace Gary Sinise at 'Rockin' for the Troops'

"Rockin' for the Troops," benefitting Operation Support Our Troops - America at Cantigny will feature headliner Ronnie Dunn. Tickets go on sale Feb. 13.

Country music star Ronnie Dunn will replace longtime headliner Gary Sinise at Cantigny's annual "Rockin' for the Troops" concert this summer.

The July 20 fundraising event for Operation Support Our Troops - America (OSOT) is now in its eighth year. This year's theme will be "Only in America," celebrating the 10-year anniversary of OSOT and highlighting one of Dunn's hit songs, according to Cantigny's website.

"We are very excited about the addition of Ronnie Dunn to Rockin' For the Troops. Country music has a long and proud tradition of unwavering support for our military and there are few who demonstrate that better than Ronnie," said OSOT America President Deborah Rickert in a statement.

Gary Sinise continues his involvement with Rockin' For the Troops as a major sponsor of the event, but due to a scheduling conflict he will not be able to perform, according to Cantigny.

Dunn said in a statement the name, "Rockin' for the Troops" is appropriate. “The sacrifices the men and women of our military and their families make are why we get to do what we do for a living, and I’m happy to support Operation Support Our Troops-America.”

The day will also include a performance by The Voices, and the Kimo Williams Band. Williams, one of the founders of the Lt. Dan Band, has left the group to form an all veteran band, according to Cantigny.

Online ticket sales for the event begin Wednesday, Feb. 13 at www.osotAmerica.org.
