Lisle Resident, Benet Sophomore a Rising Acting Star

Grace Etzkorn has a recurring role on 'Chicago Fire,' recently won a Chicago teen pageant and regularly promotes a drug-and-alcohol-awareness campaign.

The acting career of Lisle resident Grace Etzkorn is starting to take off, with the Benet sophomore now having played roles in a national musical, appeared in several commercials, won a Chicago pageant and scored a multiple-appearance role on the TV show “Chicago Fire,” the Suburban Life reports

According to the paper, Etzkorn has been acting since she was 10 years old in a Chicago show, then touring with “Annie,” doing voiceovers for Walmart, Radio Disney and Nintendo, and winning the 2013 Miss Chicago Outstanding Teen pageant; her role on the new show “Chicago Fire” is as burn survivor Sophie in two episodes so far.

“I haven’t really grasped the fact that I’m on national TV yet,” Etzkorn told the paper. “It makes me feel proud I accomplished something a lot of people don’t get the opportunity to do, and I’m so thankful and proud… I think you should always dream big, because there is so much you can accomplish in life.”
