Lisle Library Celebrates 'Horror'ween With Classic Horror Movies Series in October

Classic horror movie expert Richard Flint will show and share his thoughts on four definitive films this October.

Back by popular demand, Lisle Library’s own classic horror movie expert, Richard Flint, will show and share his thoughts on four definitive films this October.

The classic horror films will be shown at 7 p.m. Mondays, in the library’s meeting rooms.

The series will kick off Monday, Oct. 1, with Lon Chaney in The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

The following week, Monday, Oct. 8, Flint will feature Bride of Frankenstein starring Elsa Lanchester in perhaps her most memorable role.

The series picks up again Monday, Oct. 22, with Flint revealing even more fun facts about Bela Lugosi as part of his presentation on Mark of the Vampire.

The series will finish on a light-hearted note with 1948’s horror-comedy classic,  Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein Monday, Oct. 29.

Come see these great films, hear fascinating facts, and enjoy some popcorn as Lisle Library celebrates 'Horror'ween.
