Ready, Set, Go!

The Lisle Library’s end-of-summer open house features hands-on training with new library tools and technology for patrons wanting to manage their accounts or learn a new language on-line, demonstrations by vendors participating in the September library card sign-up month  promotion,  previews of up-coming library programs, Youth Services’ bingo for school supplies, information on early literacy skills and children’s E-books, refreshments, a raffle every half hour for food prizes from local restaurants, and golf in the atrium. The University of Illinois master gardeners’ program will present “Monarch Magic,” an entertaining look at the amazing life cycle of the Monarch butterfly at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The first 100 visitors to these events wins a flash drive.
