Just Between Frames film discussion group

Peter Falk is back in the "Splendid Spoofs" series -- this time in this month's feature "The Cheap Detective". Part of the fun will be comparing send-ups of hard-boiled P.I.s in this film with the cozy/traditional ones in the last June's "Murder by Death". The plot here concerns Lou Peckinpaugh, a worldy, cynical gumshoe who takes on San Francisco, thugs, crooks, Nazis, femme fatales, and the Golden Gate Bridge in this tribute to Bogie and the Hammett/Chandler school of hard-boiled detectives. Follow the "mean street" that leads to Meeting Room B and join the film club members to see and talk about this film.
