DuPage Derby Dames Host Screening of Derby, Baby!: A Story of Love, Addiction and Rink Rash
Your favorite west suburban hard‐hitting, booty‐blocking rollergirls, the DuPage Derby Dames, are hosting a very special screening of “Derby, Baby!: A Story of Love, Addiction and Rink Rash” on Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Wilmette Theatre in Wilmette,Illinois at 9:30pm. This group of tough ladies will dazzle guests at the event, as they present a milestone for the roller derby community as a whole, the first feature‐length documentary about the global women’s roller derby scene, and the only screening in the Chicagoland area!Emmy Award winning Filmmakers, Robin Bond and Dave Wruck take you with them on their international quest to learn why women’s flat track roller derby is the fastest growing sport in the world. Narrated by Whip It! actress Juliette Lewis, Derby, Baby! explores the drama, friendshipsand addictive nature of women’s roller derby, featuring star skaters including Suzy Hotrod and DeRanged, to name a few.
