A night of poetry reading with David Cho. David Cho, author of *Night Sessions* and *Song of Our Songs,* will be featured. His book, *Night Sessions,* has just been nominated for the 2011 National Book Awards. This collection of poems is based primarily on David S. Cho's own life experiences as a Chicago-born and raised child of Korean immigrants to America in the early 70's, providing a series of poetic "snapshots" of Cho's own life, the lives of fellow family members, serving as an homage to the Midwestern and wider Korean American experience, especially the "night sessions" of labor common to many.
The event will take place on July 22 at 7:00pm-8:30pm at Grounds for Hope Cafe in the Trinity Building, 2701 Maple in Lisle, IL. Feel free to come before the poetry reading to grab a sandwich, salad, ice cream or coffee.
