Viewfinder: Spring Sprint
The race, sponsored by the Lisle Chamber of Commerce, had 340 runners compete Sunday morning at Lisle Community Park in 5k, 10k races.
The 12th Annual Spring Sprint had 340 runners from the surrounding area compete Sunday morning at .
The runners had to endure frigid temperatures and a biting wind as they completed either a 5k or 10k race. The course started at and went around the pond and softball fields of Community Park.
Lisle Chamber of Commerce President Tom Althoff said the chamber sponsors the event and has it as the first race of the year in order to attract more runners.
