3.  4732 Main St., 630-852-8040

From Nicole Webb: "If you are a Yerbabuena regular, you may not think it’s romantic, but trust me, after a couple of Cadillac Margaritas you will.  Yerbabuena is one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants in the western suburbs.  You’ll find traditional burritos, tacos, and enchiladas, of course.  But you will also find an impressive selection of more gourmet and traditional Mexican favorites. I recommend the mango chipotle salmon.  The sauce is sweet and spicy and compliments the tender, flaky salmon perfectly.  Yerbabuena’s atmosphere has a hip, south-of-the-border feel which certainly gives Yerbabuena the title of the hippest restaurant on Main Street."

4.   4729 Main Street, Lisle, 630-963-8714

You can't have romance without Rome.   That's amore.

5.   3003 Corporate West Drive, Lisle, 630-505-0900

Fine dining with scenic views, with Valentine's specials throughout the weekend.

We didn't stop at five. Here are more recommendations from Nicole:

  • If you’re looking for more of a “supper club” feel for your romantic evening, look no further than .  Their “King Size Cocktails” never disappoint and neither does their menu.  I recommend that you start with the oysters rockefeller or smoked salmon.  Their famous ribs may be out of the question for a romantic evening, but I suppose it all depends on how long you’ve been married.  I say, go for it!
  • If you are looking for traditional Italian food for your romantic night out, look no further than Angeli’s (1482 E Chicago Ave.).  Angeli’s is family owned and it shows in the personal, warm service you will receive.  The menu is classic Italian and always delicious.  For some extra romance share an order of the Chicken Marsala with a side of Angel Hair Pasta.  Just don’t feed it to each other...please.
