More Snow Expected in Lisle Tuesday

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning that will be in effect from 3 a.m. to midnight Tuesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Chicagoland counties from 3 a.m. to midnight Tuesday and is predicting as much as 9 inches of snow could fall in Lisle.

"Light snow is expected to spread across northeast Illinois tonight and become more intense toward daybreak Tuesday and persist through Tuesday evening," the warning for five counties including DuPage reads.

Five to nine inches of snow are possible Tuesday, and wind gusts will reach 25 mph. Additional accumulation of one to three inches is possible Tuesday night.

Heavy snowfall is most likely late Tuesday afternoon, in time for rush-hour traffic.

The National Weather Service forecasts the high temperature Tuesday will reach 33 degrees, and the night-time low will dip to 25.
