Lots of Live Music This Weekend

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend. Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for when you're done with work and ready to get out. Check our picks for the activities to hit.

1. LISLE CRUISE NIGHT
Where/When: 6-9 p.m. Saturday on Main Street in downtown.
Why Go: Free cruise night and block party. Music, cotton candy, moon jump, 50/50 raffles, food and beer.
Pricing: Free.

2. DUPAGE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA CONCERT
Where/When: 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Naperville Community Concert Center, 104 E. Benton Ave.
Why Go: features Gershwin's "Cuban Overture" and Moncayo's "Huapango," among  other pieces.
Pricing: Free.

3. GROVE FEST
Where/When: All weekend in Downtown Downers Grove.
Why Go: Live entertainment, carnival rides and games, car show Sunday, craft show Saturday and Sunday made the annual Rotary GroveFest the place to be.
Pricing: $5 for entertainment area all weekend; $23 for unlimited ride wristband.

4. LA BOHEME CONCERT
Where/When: 8 p.m. Saturday at Wentz Concert Hall, North Central College, 171 E. Chicago Ave., Naperville.
Why Go: A concert of Puccini's "La Boheme," featuring the college chorus and orchestra, soloists from the University of Illinois and the Anima young singers of greater Chicago.
Pricing: $20 or $25.

5. CAVALCADE OF BRASS
Where/When: 6 p.m. Sunday at , 5700 College Rd.
Why Go: Nine corps, featuring the Cavaliers, will perform the in 28th annual cavalcade.
Pricing: $20-$25.
