Lisle Lions Raise More than $1,500 for Cancer Research

The girls volleyball team sponsored their fourth annual fundraiser on Tuesday evening, which benefits the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

When Lisle met Plano on the volleyball court on Tuesday, it was the second most important thing happening in the that evening.

Students and parents alike came together to raise awareness and money for the fight against breast cancer.  Pink was the color of the day for both the volleyball team and their fans.

Money was raised in a variety of ways.  Many local businesses donated items to be raffled, including hotel stays and wine glasses. Some of the parents put together baskets for the raffle as well, and many contributed to the bake sale.  More than 100 T-shirts were sold.

The final fundraising count is still to be determined but is currently over $1,600, surpassing last year's record amount.
