Lisle Library Hosts Food For Fines Program

The library will forgive fines in return for canned goods that are then donated to the Lisle Township Food Pantry.

Through Nov. 30, for each food item patrons drop off at the Circulation Desk, Lisle Library will reduce any overdue fines owed by $1-up to $10 total.

The food will go to the Lisle Township Food Pantry.

Only nonperishable, labeled items in unopened original packaging will be accepted. The items should not be damaged, expired or rusty.

Donations will be accepted even if there are no fines to pay.
