Kiwanis Club of Lisle Helped Provide Thanksgiving Meals for More Than 65 Families

The distribution was a part of the Gene Hepler Community service project and was with the help of the first award recipient, Dennis Webb.

The Kiwanis Club of Lisle made Thanksgiving food donations Nov. 20 to more than 65 families in the village in conjunction with the Lisle Township Food Pantry.

The distribution was a part of the Gene Hepler Community service project and was with the help of the first award recipient, Dennis Webb. This distribution included food for a family of four consisting of a Butterball turkey, dressing, potatoes, sweet potatoes, cake mix, and vegetables. The Township was instrumental in assisting the club with the procurement of the food through the Northern Illinois Food Pantry in St. Charles.

The Kiwanis Club of Lisle recently presented Dennis Webb with the first Gene Hepler Community Service Award for distinguished service. The award is named after Gene Hepler who was a member of the Lisle Kiwanis Club and gave of his time and talent for more than 40 years helping the needy in the community. Dennis is also distinguished as he has helped many needy through his years of community service.

The Kiwanis Club of Lisle thanks the entire families of both Carole Hepler and Dennis Webb for their time in assisting with the philanthropic services.
