Everyone Loves a Parade

There is plenty to do over the holiday weekend.

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend. Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for when you're done with work and ready to get out. Check our picks for the activities to hit.

1. NATURE UNFRAMED
Where/When: Daily at , 4100 Lincoln Ave., Lisle.
Why Go: International, national and local created one-of-a-kind works of art based off of the feelings and impressions found on the Arboretum grounds.
Pricing: Free with admission.

2. BLACK CADILLAC
Where/When: Friday night at , 5750 Lakeside Dr., Lisle.
Why Go: The rockers are featured at a '50's theme party for "pin-ups and greasers."

3. MOTORCYCLE CRUISE NIGHT
Where/When: 6-9 p.m. Saturday at , 4738 Main St., Lisle.
Why Go: and host this summer's first cruise night, and the village's first motorcycle show. Families can enjoy free cotton candy, a moon bounce, a freestyle motocross exhibition, a live band, DJ and food provided by Evviva! on Main Street from Ogden to Burlington Avenues. Those who register their bikes are eligible for peoples' choice awards gift certificates to a local business. Downtown Main Street will close between 4:30-5 p.m. in preparation for the event.

4. SUNDAY FUNDAY
Where/When: Sunday at , 5750 Lakeside Dr., Lisle.
Why Go: Daytime  pig roast, music, bags and half off all food and drinks.

5. MEMORIAL DAY PARADE AND PICNIC
Where/When: 11 a.m. Monday at , 5207 Center Ave.
Why Go: The Ross Bishop VFW Post #5696 presents the Village of Lisle Memorial Day . The parade kicks off from Lisle Junior High School at and winds its way to Lisle Village Hall where the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District will hold a brief ceremony.  The parade will continue to the Lisle Cemetery where the VFW will hold its ceremony. At the conclusion of these two ceremonies, the 5th Annual Community Picnic will take place on the grounds of Lisle Station Park.  Hot dogs, brats, chips, pop/water will be served.
