Satisfy your curiosity while having fun! Take a guided tour of PrairieWalk Pond, the beautiful new 4.5 acre recreational area in Downtown Lisle, on Saturday, August 6th from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. Tours are open to the public and there is no cost to attend.
Tour guide Barb Plichta will present interesting information about the site which includes a 2 acre pond, lighted walking trails, sparkling fountains, colorful native plants, a shelter with a "green" or living roof and a children's nature themed splash pad and play area.
Learn about sustainable or green features incorporated within the site and expand your knowledge about our natural world with thought provoking information.
Meet Barb under the giant blue arch in Dragonfly Landing, the children’s play area. The tour is suitable for all ages. No reservations are required.
PrairieWalk Pond is located at the northeast corner of Rte 53 and Burlington Avenue in Downtown Lisle. Free parking is located across from the pond in the municipal parking lot.
After the tour, explore beautifully renovated Downtown Lisle’s unique shops and restaurants. Or relax and refresh at the stunning Garden Walk Fountain where turtles, cranes and frogs spout water that cascades over rocks and boulders.
