Candy Day in Lisle

All day Friday, October 5th  and October 12th, Lisle Lions Club members in yellow Candy Day vests will be distributing rolls of candy and taking donations for Lisle Lions Club and Lions of Illinois Foundation projects.

Look for Lions at major road intersections of Lisle during rush hours, as well as several Lisle businesses during the day. Lions will be at the intersections of Maple and Route 53, Yackley and Ogden, Maple and College avenues, and Route 53 and Warrenville on each of those two Fridays.

Lions Clubs in communities around the state will be participating in this annual project. Money collected goes to support Camp Lions for visually and hearing impaired children, Low Vision Clinics, Mobile Eye and Hearing Screening Units, Infant Hearing Screenings, used eye glasses and hearing aid collections, as well as local humanitarian projects in the clubs’ communities.

Lions Clubs’ fundraising for this event consists of soliciting contributions “on the street”, and “underwriting” funds donated by businesses and organizations to offset the cost of the candy used in the fundraiser.

Please help by donating to one of our Lion members in a yellow Lions vest or sending your donation to Lisle Lions Club, P.O. Box 481, Lisle IL 60532.
