Breed: Boxer mix

Background: Transferred from a shelter in Indiana. Originally found stray.
Personality: Extremely energetic and playful. Very smart and trains well with treats. Would make a good running partner. Sweet and smart. Can live with dogs and children at least 12.

Hours are 5pm to 8pm on Mondays and Thursdays. 1pm to 6pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and noon to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Stop by at 1620 W. Diehl Road in Naperville or online at www.napervilleareahumanesociety.org. All animals at NAHS have been examined for health and temperament, are up-to-date on vaccines and have been microchipped. They are spayed and neutered at adoption.
Mary Poppins
Age: 1 year
Breed: Domestic Longhair
Background: Found as a stray in Aurora with her 5 kittens.
Personality: Sweet and friendly--loves being petted and brushed. OK with other cats, some dogs and any age kids.

Animals Deserving of Proper Treatment
Baby
Age: 2
Breed: Dachshund / Terrier Mix
Background: Baby was surrendered to A.D.O.P.T. by an owner who could no longer care for him. He has been at A.D.O.P.T. since September.
Personality: Baby was adopted and then returned recently because he and the adopter’s cat did not get along. Baby is a happy, friendly boy that is housetrained and loves to cuddle. He can be fearful of other animals and would do best as an only pet.

Nala
Age: 2-1/2 Years Old
Breed: Domestic short hair-brown tabby mix
Background: Rescue transfer from Chicago Animal Control
Personality: Nala has been at A.D.O.P.T. since March of 2011 and is about 2-1/2 years old. She is in Comm 3. The residents of this small room prefer to be adopted out as only cats. Nala has her own personality in that she will tell you when she wants attention and when she doesn't. She is waiting to find her special forever home. Don't pass her up - she has much love to give.
