Protest Puppy Mill Parlor

Huge thank you to all the Lisle residents who have joined our protests!    And of course to all the volunteers who have given up hours of their time to speak up for the dogs in the back room of Puppy Mill Parlor. 

It’s Monday at about 9:00AM and the dogs in the back room have been stuck in their cages since 2:00PM yesterday.  That’s 19 hours in a cage.  They have two more hours to go, the store opens at 11:00AM.  But so what?  They don’t get out when the store opens.    

How is this humane?  How is this legal?  How is this not animal cruelty?   And here’s the answer:

— Only six state inspectors are assigned to check the welfare of animals in more than 2,000 pet stores, kennels, shelters and other sites in Illinois, the casualty of tight budgets that have sliced the staff by almost half and potentially put the safety of dogs, cats and other domestic animals at risk.

And since the Lisle City Council supports cruelty,  this store will remain open and the dogs will continue to suffer.
