Percussion Ensemble Summer Camp at Vero Voce!

Vero Voce School of Performing Arts Announces Summer Percussion Camp

Spend the summer working on challenging music alongside other percussionists from the western suburbs. The Vero Voce Percussion Ensemble will give you an opportunity to gain more performance experience while getting to know other members of the Chicagoland percussion community.
 
The camp consists of rehearsals once a week for seven weeks for each piece followed by concert for your friends and family. Each rehearsal will be instructed by Daniel Eastwood, a professional percussion educator who will guide you through proper technique and musical expression.

Camp Dates: Tuesdays: June 10 - July 22 Times will be determined as a result of the piece(s) of which you participate 

Fees: $105 Per Piece Students can perform in up to 4 Pieces

Vero Voce Summer Percussion Ensemble is a great way to learn music, increase your percussion skills, and perform with other percussionists in your area. 

Daniel Eastwood - A versatile percussionist and experienced educator. Eastwood is an active member of the Project Two Percussion Duo and The Chicago Bears Drumline. He is also a former member of the 2008 and 2009 World Champion Indoor Marching Percussion Ensemble, Pioneer Indoor. His experience span a wide range of musical genres and ensembles. During Daniel’s time at Northern Illinois University, he performed with The Latin Jazz Ensemble, Philharmonic, Wind Ensemble, Steel Band, Berimbau Sextet, Chinese Music Ensemble, Afro-Cuban Drumming Group, Marching Band, Percussion Ensemble, and Jazz Combo. As an active percussionist Daniel has performed in such venues as Millennium Park, The Museum of Contemporary Arts in Chicago, Soldier Field, Harper College, Lynden Sculpture Gardens and in Indianapolis at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention. Eastwood’s interest in percussion instruments and techniques from around the world have led him to study music from Cuba, The Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and travel to Puerto Rico where he studied both the country’s traditional and popular music.

Vero Voce was established in 2001 specializing in private voice, piano lessons and musical theatre coaching expanded into a 7,000 square foot facility with multiple studios, classrooms, and a theatre at 951 State Avenue, Suite F, in St Charles. Course offerings include all instruments, voice and theatre classes and a full season of adult musical and non-musical productions and a full season of young actors’ theatre productions.
