Imagine a life like this…
You’re thirsty but can't get much out of the hamster tube you are forced to drink from
You’re hungry but don't know when you'll get something to eat again
You’re forced to lay in your own waste
You can't get a breath of fresh air
You can't sleep because of the crying in the next cramped cage over or in the one below
You wouldn't know how to play with a toy if you had one
You can't scratch an itch or stretch out for a belly rub (not that anyone would care enough to rub your belly anyway)
You haven't seen the light of day for God knows how long…ever?
This is the existence of scores of dogs in the back room of Puppy Parlor in Lisle.
This is why the protestors stand on Ogden Ave and Main St. every day...this is what keeps us up at night. What's a little heat, a few exhaust fumes, the occasional rude gesture from a passing car when we know the existence of those pitiful and unloved creatures in the back of that store?
COME ON, citizens of Lisle! How can you allow this? DO something! Call the mayor*, write the trustees*, stop by and get your copy of the proof we have that the owner who calls herself a businessperson is actually a despicable liar, banned from the AKC for life, selling sick puppy mill puppies and causing heartbreak and misery for people and animals alike.
"Compassion for animals is intimately connected with goodness of character; and it may be confidently asserted that he who is cruel to animals cannot be a good man." -- Unknown
*Could we in good conscience extend this assertion to those who know about cruelty, could do something about it but look the other way? I say yes.
