Children of certain ages need direction in their collection, because they don't know the rules of the hunt yet, or have fairly limited mobility. A church hosted the event and prizes included a TV, Wii, GPS devices, other eggs were filled with candy—the whole shebang. Reportedly, though, parents literally …
I'm compiling a list of great places to picnic around the village. (Suggestions welcome!) But what I really want to know is: what do you pack for a meal on the go? Maybe you don't go on a lot of picnic outings, but prepare snacks and small meals that travel or can be consumed in the car by your little passengers. Increasingly the age for high level athletics continues to get younger and younger, and while three may be a tad bit too early to start working with an athletic trainer (okay, let’s face it, it’s completely crazy), the days of playing baseball in the backyard and being able to expect to…

What local school district issues concern you most? National elections constantly steal the spotlight, but local elections are just as important. For example, very few issues are more important than ensuring that children have access to a quality education. On April 5, the voters of Lisle Community School District 202 will elect three individuals to the school board. There are six residents vying to serve the four-year terms. Parents and tax payers hold the school board accountable for achieving meeting and exceeding district, state and national education goals. The seven-member board …

There are school volunteers who sit on home and school committees, also known as PTAs (Parent Teacher Association). They organize clothing sales, schedule volunteers to support the art teacher in the classroom, class parties, sock hops, rollerskating …
